Cal Poly Wrestlers Fall to Arizona State, 38-3, in Pac-12 Dual Meet

MESA, Arizona – Britain Longmire's decision at 125 pounds was Cal Poly's lone victory in a 38-3 Pac-12 dual wrestling meet loss to Arizona State on Friday night.
Longmire (pictured at right) earned a 7-3 decision over Dalton Miller to even his record for the season at 8-8.
Cal Poly (2-10) forfeited two matches at 133 and 285 and Arizona State (5-8) won two matches by major decision, one by fall and four by decision.
Three of the Sun Devils' wins by decision were by three points or less.
Cal Poly 141-pounder Evan McKirdy dropped a 4-2 decision while 157-pounder Kyle Chene fell 5-4. Connor King was on the short end of a 10-7 decision at 165.
Arizona State 197-pounder Jake Meredith earned the fall in the final bout of the night.
Cal Poly wrestling, presented by Meathead Movers, returns home Sunday for its final dual meet of the season, hosting No. 12 Central Michigan at 1 p.m. inside the Mott Athletics Center.
