
Cal Poly Falls to Boise State in Pac-12 Dual Wrestling Meet

BOISE, Idaho -- Britain Longmire won by decision, Cal Poly's lone victory in a 43-3 loss to Boise State in a Pac-12 Conference dual wrestling meet Sunday at Taco Bell Arena.
Longmire (pictured at right) posted an 11-6 decision over Rami Haddadin at 125 pounds. The Mustang junior scored a takedown in both the first and second periods, then earned a reversal, two takedowns and riding time in the final period for the win, improving to 7-8 on the year.
Cal Poly forfeited three bouts and Boise State won the six remaining bouts, including a fall by 149-pounder Jason Chamberlain. Scott Bacon won by major decision at 174 and the other four wins were by decision.
Boise State raised its overall record to 9-5 and Pac-12 mark to 5-1 while Cal Poly fell to 2-8 and 0-4.
Coach Brendan Buckley's Mustangs wrestle their fourth straight Pac-12 road match Friday at Arizona State. Cal Poly returns home Sunday for its final dual meet of the season, hosting Central Michigan at 1 p.m. in the Mott Athletics Center.
