LONG BEACH, Calif- Cal Poly overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat Long Beach State 4-3 in double overtime. The Mustangs scored three goals in the second half in the come from behind victory.

In just the fourth minute of the game, LBSU's Renee Mendiola scored her third goal of the season from eight yards out with the assist from Nadia Link. Then in the 37th minute of the game, Link would score her sixth goal of the season when she was able to beat Cal Poly goalie, Alyssa Giannetti.

Elise Krieghoff found the back of the net in the 70^th minute for her seventh goal of the season. Then just three minutes later, in the 73^rd minute, Sara Epps scores after the ball is deflected off the goalie. The game was tied, 2-2.

In the 82^nd minute, Krieghoff would beat the goalie off an assist from Epps and Cal Poly would take the lead, 3-2. But Long Beach State's Eileen Maes was able to score in the 88^th minute off a rebound with the help of Nadia Link, 3-3.

The match advanced into the second overtime before Sara Epps would score her second goal of the game and her second game winning goal of the season.

Alyssa Giannetti made a total of five saves during the game. Elise Krieghoff remains the leading scorer for the Mustangs with seven on the season.

The Mustangs are now 4-0 in the Big West Conference as Long Beach State falls to 2-2.

Cal Poly is back at home on Friday for another Big West Conference game as they take on Cal State Northridge at 7 pm.
