- Faculty Athletic Representative
Ken Walker, Cal Poly's Faculty Athletic Representative since2007, has served as a professor in the philosophy department at CalPoly since 1973. Walker also was Faculty Athletic Representative atCal Poly from 1980-83.
Walker was Cal Poly's director of athletics from 1983-91.
Before coming to Cal Poly, Walker was a teacher at Westchester HighSchool in Los Angeles (1967-68) and a lecturer at the University ofSouthern California (1969-73) and Mt. Saint Mary's College(1970-71).
Walker earned his bachelor's degree in English and history from USCin 1965 and studied English at UC Berkeley and American Studies atUSC before obtaining his master's degree in philosophy at USC in1969.
Walker also obtained his PhD in philosophy at USC in 1973 and was avisiting fellow in philosophy at Princeton during the 1980-81academic year.
