Diego Jara is a first-year statistics major here at Cal Poly, who is looking into minoring in data science to further pursue his interest in sports analytics. This is Diego's first year as a Statistics Student Manager for the Cal Poly Baseball Team.
Diego is a graduate from Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California. Although Diego didn’t play any sports in high school, he was the director of the Bellarmine Sports Broadcasting team where he would organize the popular livestreams and commentary of the successful football, basketball, and baseball Bellarmine teams. He has also been a competitive bowler for over 10 years and has won two national championships.
Diego’s mother is Lalani, and he has two older siblings, Marissa and Alex.
