Finished her junior year with one of the most impressive individual seasons in program history ... named the Big West Player of the Year, becoming the fifth player in program history to earn the award, and the second year in a row a Mustang won it ... also named to the First Team All-Big West, Pacific North AVCA All-Region Team, and AVCA Honorable Mention All-American; all for the second consecutive year ... finished the regular season with a 5.07 kills per set average, the second highest in a single-season in school history, surpassing her 4.83 average from last season ... her 5.07 kills per set average was good for second in the Big West and third in Division I ... also led the Big West in hitting percentage with a .365 clip, the ninth highest single-season hitting percentage in program history ... named Big West Player of the Week four times ... was also second on the team in digs with 2.80 per set, third in blocks with .84 per set and third in aces with 20 ... in 27 matches, she recorded 12 double-doubles and finished with 20 or more kills nine times, including a season-high 29 against Hawai'i (Oct. 6) ... also earned Big West All-Academic honors.
In her first season at Cal Poly, finished with the second highest single-season kills per set average in program history with 4.83, which was sixth highest in the nation that season ... in a win against Wichita State, she posted a career-high 30 kills ... had a team-high nine double-double matches, a hitting percentage of .343 and averaged 2.30 digs per set ... was named to the Pacific North AVCA All-Region First Team and All-Big West First Team, the first time a Mustang made both since 2011 ... was also named to the Big West Commissioners Honor Roll.
As a freshman for the Bruins, earned AVCA Pacific South All-Region First Team honors ... also earned All-Pac-12 Conference First Team and Pac-12 All-Freshman accolades ... named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 17, as well as Freshman of the Week on both Oct. 24 and Nov. 14 ... ranked third on the team in kills (2.87) and points (3.36) per set ... helped UCLA reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament ... season-high in kills was 19 (three times).

Played high school volleyball for her first three years as a Crusher, as her squad won three straight Monticello Empire League championships with a combined 42-3 run (79-18 overall) culminating in a trio of Sac-Joaquin Section playoff appearances ... advanced to the Division 1 tournament third round her freshman year and then to the Division 2 final in her sophomore and junior seasons ... earned all-league honors every season, before graduating early and enrolling at UCLA ... played soccer at VHS her senior year ... played club volleyball for Five Starz VB ... in beach volleyball, took fourth place at the 2016 FIVB U-21 World Championships in Switzerland ... also was an honors student and sang in choir.
Born on May 29, 1998 in Santa Rosa ... parents, Jim & Kelly (Strand), are each Cal Poly alumni who were also student-athletes ... Jim was an All-CCAA honorable mention basketball player as a senior in 1985-86 when Cal Poly won a conference title, finishing his career No. 6 in program history in rebounds (498), while Kelly was an All-PCAA First Team selection for the volleyball team in 1984-85, and still holds the single-match school record for hitting percentage (.850, vs. LMU) ... older sister Adlee played at Cal Poly from 2015-18, starting every match of her four-year career and ranks fifth in program history in career kills. The two were able to play together for two seasons ... chose Cal Poly because it “feels like home” ... majors in Recreation, Parks & Tourism Administration ... aspires to play pro beach volleyball.
