High School – A four-time state placewinner and four-time Sierra Valley League champion at Union Mine High School in El Dorado County … placed second in California State High School Championships at 130 pounds as a senior … placed fifth in CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Meet … four-time CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section divisional champion and two CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Masters titles … All Metro honors in his sophomore, junior and senior years … led Diamondbacks to school’s first ever league championship … also played four years of football, the last two as a running back and linebacker on the varsity team … in senior season Diamondbacks finished 10-2 overall and in a three-way tie for Sierra Valley title with a 5-1 league record, and came just one game short of playing in the section championship game … Tow rushed for 696 yards and eight touchdowns and also caught 33 passes for 312 yards and four more scores … added 56 tackles on defense.
