"I am thrilled to be joining Coach Walters' staff and am thankful for the opportunity that she and Don Oberhelman have given me," Manguiat said. "Having coached against Cal Poly, I have seen what kind of team Coach Walters has put together and am excited to be part of it. This is a staff that cares about their players and their development both on and off the court. The opportunity to be coaching in a gym at this level and be closer to my family is such an amazing privilege."
An Oakland, Calif. native, Manguiat attended Springfield College where he played from 2007-10 where he won two NCAA Division III national championships. He ranks in the top 10 in school history for career serve reception percentage. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in history with minors in sociology and political science.
