Former University of Hawai'i standout beach volleyball player Ari Homayun was named assistant coach of the Cal Poly beach volleyball team by head coach Todd Rogers prior to the start of the 2021 season.
Homayun joined the Mustangs after spending one season at Hawai'i in 2020 as a volunteer assistant coach for their beach volleyball team.
Homayun graduated from Hawai'i May 2019 with a degree in secondary education in social studies after enjoying a decorated four-year career on their beach team. She finished as UH's all-time leader in overall (118) and dual (115) match wins and was a multi-time All-Big West, AVCA Top Flight Award, and academic All-Big West honoree.
A native of West Hills, Calif., she attended El Camino Real Charter High School in Woodland Hills, Calif. where she played volleyball.
