Three-time First Team All-Conference honoree at Weatherford High School ... as a sophomore, she helped Weatherford reach the semifinals of the state tournament and was named 4A State Tournament First Team ... as a junior, she again helped lead Weatherford to the semifinals of the state tournament ... also ran track and cross country and helped the Weatherford track team win four straight state championships, individually, she won the state championship in the 800 meter and was part of state championship relay teams in the two-mile relay and the 800 meter relay in which she helped set the school record ... graduated in the top five percent of her class and was a student council president and National Honors Society Vice President.
