Born in Santa Clara, Calif. … son of Roy Reyes and Katie Nicholas … majoring in aerospace engineering … enjoys jigsaw puzzles, cooking, music … chose Cal Poly for its incredible engineering program, hands-on learning experience, swim program and beautiful campus … biggest influence on athletic career “has probably been my dad because he was my coach for many years in Little League baseball, and made me enjoy being an athlete. Then, as I began swimming, he continued to support me and always listened to me when I wanted to talk about swimming. He is my best equipment manager and without my parents’ financial and emotional support I would not have gotten to where I am today.”
