Prep -- As a senior at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, had the 61st-fastest time in the nation in the 100-yard butterfly (49.72 seconds) to earn NISCA/Speedo All-America honors … also was an All-American in the event as a junior for the Wolves, with the same time (ranking 54th that season) … was also on All-American teams in both the 200 free relay (No. 31; 1:24.75) and 200 medley relay (67th; 1:34.69) as a senior … in all, earned six All-America distinctions during high school career … swam at the USA Swimming Junior National Championships in both 2012 and 2013 … was named All-East Bay Athletic League … also visited Hawai’i, Pacific and UC Santa Barbara; chose Cal Poly because of the location and the athletic and academic programs.
