2011: Started 10 games as Cal Poly's catcher and played in 10 others in junior season … his five hits included two doubles and a home run … drove in five runs … hit dramatic two-run double in 10th inning to rally Cal Poly to series-clinching 4-3 win over UC Riverside on April 3 … hit two-run home run in 21-0 win over Pacific on May 22 … played summer ball for Denver Cougars in Rocky Mountain Baseball League … hit .374 with six doubles, four home runs and 28 RBI … .571 slugging percentage with Cougars.
2010: Started 24 games -- 17 as catcher, three at third base and four as designated hitter -- and played in 16 others ... compiled .306 average with six doubles, a triple and two home runs ... drove in 16 runs and stole pair of bases ... in first start of season March 9 against Northern Illinois, went 4-for-5 with a triple, four RBI and two runs scored ... went 3-for-6 with a double and two RBI against Long Beach State on May 2 ... nine multiple-hit games, four multiple-RBI contests and an 11-game hitting streak midway through the season when he went 17-for-44 (.386) ... hit home runs against Loyola Marymount and Pacific ... played summer ball for Nevada Bighorns and hit .261 with a pair of home runs and three RBI before his season was cut short by injury.
2009: Played in five games, starting all five, all in the first two weeks of May while starter Ross Brayton and backup Justin Hensley recovered from injuries ... went 3-for-14 (.214) at the plate with a double (in his first collegiate game against San Francisco on May 3) ... committed just one error in 26 chances behind the plate ... played for the Bend Elks in summer ball, compiling a .170 average with two doubles and three RBI ... played 23 games with 18 starts.
