Former Mustang standout Ben Donovan is in his first season as the Volunteer Assistant Coach of the Cal Poly men's tennis team in 2023.
During his career with the Mustangs from 2014-17, Donovan was a four-time First Team All-Big West honoree in singles and a three-time First Team All-Big West honoree in doubles. He was also named Big West Freshman of the Year in 2014, one of five Mustangs to earn the award.
He and Corey Pang are tied for first all-time in program history for career doubles wins together at 42-13. He is fourth all-time for career combined singles and doubles winning percentage with a 66 percent career winnning percentage. In addition, he ranks seventh in program history in career singles winning percentage and sixth in career doubles winning percentage.
As a freshman in 2014, he helped the Mustangs win the Big West Tournament title and reach the NCAA Tournament.
