2014-15 -- Completed his sophomore campaign with a 15-9 singles dual record, which tied him for the sixth-highest single-season dual win total in program history ... earned a 17-2 doubles record (15-1 in dual matches) when paired with fellow sophomore Corey Pang ... the 15 dual-match doubles victories ranks the pair tied for seventh-best in single season program history ... with Pang, went 11-1 in the first doubles position and a perfect 4-0 in the second spot ... improved his overall singles resume in two seasons to 37-23 (.617) ... opened his second season with Cal Poly on the first day of the ITA All-American Championships, collecting a two-set victory (6-3, 7-5) over the ITA's 85th-ranked singles player, Hunter Callahan of Ohio State on Sept. 29 ... did not lose a single doubles match (5-0) during regular season conference play when paired with Pang ... also went 4-1 in singles during conference play with all of his matchups coming in the No. 1 position.
2013-14 -- Finished his true-freshman season with a No. 20 Southwest Region singles ranking from the ITA after closing with a 17-10 overall record ... in his last match of the year, the first round of the NCAA Tournament versus UCLA, he was nine points away from a win over the No. 1-ranked player in the country, 6-foot-6 Bruin senior Clay Thompson (37-5 at the time), as he was up 6-4, 3-6, 3-0 (unfinished) before the team outcome was clinched; in doubles that day, teamed with Jurgen De Jager to top a Thompson-Joseph Di Giulio pairing 8-5 ... earned the Big West Conference Freshman of the Year award (the program's fourth in six years) ... was named the conference player of the week on Feb. 26 and April 16 (as well as the overall Cal Poly Coca-Cola Student-Athlete of the Week on the latter date), and was selected to the All-Big West First Team in singles ... was crucial to the 4-3 win over UC Davis on April 12, when he saved match point on four occasions on the way to a three-set win that kept the prospect of a bye at the conference tournament alive (a goal the Mustangs went on to secure the following week) ... played all but one of his matches at the top two spots during the spring; did his best work on the No. 1 court, going 6-2.
Prep -- At Advantage Tennis Academy in Irvine, was rated by The Tennis Recruiting Network as the No. 26 player in the country in his class, as well as No. 2 from Tennessee (he's from the Memphis area) ... went 39-19 overall.
