2022-23 -- Cross Country: Placed second at Big West XC Championships to secure All-Conference honors for the second straight year and help the Cal Poly men raise their 18th Big West trophy ... finished fourth at UC Riverside Invitational ... ran personal-best 10K time (30:34.5) in third appearance at NCAA West Regionals ... posted personal-best 8K time (24:13.6) ... received Big West All-Academic honors. Track & Field: Did not compete in any meets in fifth year at Cal Poly.
2021-22 -- Cross Country: Earned a pair of third-place finishes and was Cal Poly's top finisher in two of the team's five meets as a redshirt sophomore ... his thirds were in the season-opening Stump Invitational with an 8K time of 23:18.5, leading Mustangs to the team title, and in the Big West Conference Championships with an 8K time of 23:47.2, leading Cal Poly to a second-place team finish ... also was 24th in Bronco Invitational, 52nd in Dellinger Invitational and 87th in NCAA West Regional at Sacramento … received Big West Conference All-Academic honors. Outdoor: Finished fourth in the 5,000 and fifth in the 10,000 with a personal best of 31:01.75 at the Big West Conference Championships … ran a PR of 14:04.91 in the 5,000 at the Bryan Clay Invitational to place fifth … posted a PR of 3:57.81 in the 1,500 at the Cal Poly Open … received Big West Conference All-Academic honors.
2020-21 -- Cross Country: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Outdoor: Competed in just one meet, the Spring Break Invitational, and finished 10th in 5,000 with a personal-best time of 14:41.65.
2019-20 -- Cross Country: Helped the Mustangs win the Big West title on Nov. 2, as he came in 16th place individually at UC Riverside’s Ag. Ops. Course, where the program earned its fourth consecutive trophy ... ran the 8k in 25:19.2 at the Conference Finals, in which Cal Poly tallied 44 team points to earn the championship ... continued his postseason at the NCAA West Regionals hosted by Washington State on Nov. 15, running the 10k in 31:33.8 ... began the fall also leading squad to a 28-29 Blue-Green Rivalry victory over UC Santa Barbara at the Lagoon Open, recording a fourth-place performance of 25:09.08 in Isla Vista ... recorded another 8k effort of 24:25.1 at the Capital XC Challenge in Sacramento on Sept. 28, good for 10th overall ... additionally, earned Big West All-Academic Team accolades. Track: Spring 2020 season was canceled; however, retains year of eligibility moving forward ... meanwhile, earned Conference Commissioner’s Highest Honors academically.
2018-19 -- Outdoor: Scored at the Big West Championships as a true freshman, as he took eighth place in the 10,000 meters on May 10 at UCSB, in 31:17.49 ... returned to Pauley Track for the 5,000m Conference Final one evening later, adding a 12th-place time of 15:01.74 ... ran the 3,000 meters at the Gaucho dual on April 27, finishing sixth via 8:33.10 ... season-best 5,000m performance — 14:52.60 — came at the Tri-Meet in Goleta along with UC Riverside on March 9 (good for fourth against the pair of conference rivals). Cross Country: While redshirting his first fall on campus, competed at two meets (on an unattached-scoring basis) ... took 16th place at the 8k Lagoon Open on Sept. 15, in 25 minutes, 40.4 seconds ... added a 26:59.0 at the Stanford Invitational Sept. 29, good for 115th overall ... academically, also earned Big West Conference Commissioner’s Honors.
Prep -- Earned the 2017-18 Gatorade Nevada Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year Award as a senior at Spring Creek High School ... won the 2017 NIAA State Championship, posting a 5k time of 16:39.0 (a 42-second gap ahead of the rest of the field), leading the Spartans (coached by Todd Mahlke) to the state team title, as well ... selected as the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s 2017 Boys Cross Country Athlete of the Year ... also in the fall of 2017, came in second place at the Capital Cross Challenge, in 15:26.0, and won the Lowry Invitational and Murray Invitational ... went on to also win the 3A state championship for the 3,200 meters, in 9:43.28 ... earned a PR of 9:37.0 at the 2018 BYU Invitational, good for 15th place ... added a third-place finish at the 3A state finals for the 1,600m (with a career-best 4:24.69) ... his cross country career also included shattering the Elko Invitational Ruby View Course record in 2016 (16:44) before breaking it again in 2017 (16:25) ... as a junior, finished as the state runner-up (via 16:11) after winning the regional title ... also was a swimmer, served as Vice President of his class, volunteered locally on behalf of a food bank, a homeless shelter, an elderly care facility, food-donation drives and the Shop With a Cop program ... additionally as an honors student, earned an AP Scholar Award, CTE Certification as well as a Marines Scholastic Achievement Award.
Personal -- Majoring in architecture ... also made an official visit to Idaho; in addition to the academics of the university, chose Cal Poly because he “really likes the beach” & “the location is great,” adding, “The team and the coach are awesome. They really promote a team-first culture and support each other.”
