2021-22 -- Cross Country: Redshirted ... did not compete in any meets. Track & Field: Ran a time of 9:00.02 in the 3,000 at the Mustang Invitational to place fifth … was second in the 5,000 at the Cal Poly Open with a 15:04.43.
2020-21 -- Cross Country: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Outdoor T&F: Did not compete in any meets in first season at Cal Poly.
Prep -- Capped his senior cross country season for Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton with a 5k performance of 15:34.0 at the CIF State Championships, good for 28th place at Woodward Park in Fresno … finished 22nd at the ASICS Clovis XC Invite in October 2019, with another 5k time of 16:10.3 … on a 3-mile course for the Dons, clocked an effort of 15:12.3 to take sixth place at the 2019 EBAL Finals held in Hayward, prior to finishing third at the North Coast Section Championships, in 15:17.6 ... also as a senior, set a school record at the Mt. SAC XC Invitational, running 15:14.0 on the 2.93-mile course in Walnut, Calif. … named to the 66th All-NorCal Team after earning second-team All-NCS accolades … in track season, took sixth place in the 3,200 meters at the 2018 Sacramento Meet of Champions with a PR of 9:28.75 at American River College … ranked by DyeStatCal as the No. 7 freshman in California in 2016; just prior to the cancellation of the rest of the season, in 2020 posted his 1,600m PR — 4:25.09 — at the Gabor Invite ... in addition, was an AP student and earned Project Lead the Way Achievement accolades.
Personal -- Majoring in general engineering ... also made a visit to UC San Diego; as to why he chose Cal Poly, he commented that the university’s Learn by Doing motto “resonated with me because I have learned my most valuable skills in life by working on projects and looking for real-life applications,” before adding, “Cal Poly has one of the best engineering and running programs in the country, which is why I wanted to become a Mustang” ... says he has “always wanted to work in engineering that will create technology that will solve problems and have a lasting positive impact on the world.”
