2023-2024 Cal Poly Cheer & STUNT Tryout Information

Step 1:
Apply to Cal Poly and be offered admission, then accept!
Step 2:
Gather the following items to upload to your Tryout application...
1) Digital copy of acceptance letter, wait listed letter, or current college schedule.
2) Completed CAL POLY WAIVER (click to download) and scan as a PDF document.
3) Photo of yourself within the 3 months (in uniform/jersey welcomed).
4) Insurance information.
5) Download the BAND app (www.band.us or iPhone/Android app).
Step 3:
Complete TRYOUT APPLICATION (click to be directed to form; you will upload the collected items listed above).
Step 4:
Open the BAND app and add the Cal Poly Tryout Group using the link or QR code given at the conclusion of completing the tryout application.
- Review the tryout material in BAND.
- Learn the material.
- Practice your skills in the same format as the examples given.
- Ask questions.
Step 5:
Review the video submission instructions. Film and submit video!

2023-2024 Cal Poly Cheer & STUNT Open House Recruitment Clinic

Time:
6:30pm-9:00pm (check in begins at 6:15pm)
Location:
Mott Athletic Center, Bldg. 42 - Main Gym
Enter through the front of the building; across from the University Union side. Backside of the gym near the Beach Volleyball courts will be closed off due to volleyball tournament.
Parking:
Parking Structure 130 - Grand Avenue
Parking will be impacted due to Open House; please allow ample time.
Eligible Participants:
Open to all high school juniors & seniors and current college students at Cal Poly or any other college wanting to cheer or improve skills!
Cost Per Participant:
$25 cash
Will be collected at check in.
Registration:
- Registration - CLOSED
- Parent/guardian signature on waiver required for participation if minor - CAL POLY WAIVER (please click to download); will be collected at check in.
Schedule:
Work on stunts, tumbling, and dances to help prepare you for your college cheer tryouts & recruitment with the 2018 UCA Game Day National Champions & 2022 College Club STUNT Team National Champion Runner Up!
