
No. 4 Mustangs Earn Pair of Sweep Wins Saturday

CONWAY, SC — Cal Poly beach volleyball continued its winning ways Saturday, sweeping both of its matches to extend its win streak to five.
The No. 4 Mustangs took down both Tulane and No. 15 FAU by scores of 5-0. The victories moved the Mustangs to 10-2 overall on the season.
Cal Poly’s top two pairings of Ella Connor/Erin Inskeep and Logan Walter/Izzy Martinez each won both of their matches on the day to both improve to 11-1 on the season.
At the No. 3 spot in both matches was the duo of Quinn Perry and Ashleigh Adams, an FAU transfer. The two victories on the day kept them perfect together at 6-0. Julia Westby and Elise Lenahan won both of their matches at the No. 4 spot to improve to 5-0 as a duo.
At the No. 5 spot for both matches was the duo of redshirt freshman Hannah Byers and sophomore Maddy Byrne. Their two wins on the day also kept them unbeaten at 5-0 on the year.
The Mustangs will now get ready to play at home for the first time this season when hosting the Mustang Roundup March 13-14 at Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex. In the event, they will face No. 19 Arizona, No. 16 Grand Canyon, Oregon, and Santa Clara.
