
Mustangs Fall on the Road Saturday at Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. — Freshman forward Charish Thompson finished with 12 points but Cal State Fullerton scored 30 points off Mustang turnovers as Cal Poly fell on the road to the Titans Saturday, 71-43.
Cal State Fullerton scored the first 12 points of the game getting out to a 12-0 lead five minutes into the game. The Titans led 23-6 after the first quarter. They then outscored the Mustangs 21-3 in the second quarter.
The Mustangs were able to win the third quarter, outscoring the Titans 16-15 but it was not enough to mount a comeback as Cal Poly committed 26 turnovers for the game.
The Titans had three players score in double figures and outscored Cal Poly in the paint 40-18.
The Mustangs will be home for two games next week starting Thursday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. against Cal State Bakersfield.
