SAN LUIS OBISPO – Three Cal Poly men’s basketball players completed their standout careers with NABC Honors Court inclusion Thursday morning with graduate guard Jarred Hyder, senior guard Isaac Jessup and redshirt junior guard Logan McLaughlin receiving praise for the 2024-25 academic year.
The NABC Honors Court comprises junior, senior and graduate student players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
As a program, Cal Poly also received the NABC’s Team Academic Excellence Award for collective GPA.
Hyder, second in Cal Poly’s lineup this past season with 14.5 points per game, coupled his April Big West Winter Academic All-Conference team honor with Wednesday’s NABC Honors Court award. One of three men’s players this past year to reach 1,000 career points (alongside Jessup), Hyder set new program records during the 2024-25 season for total three-pointers (99) and three-point attempts (279).
Jessup, during his sole 2024-25 season with Cal Poly after transferring from Division II Colorado Mesa, averaged 11.7 points per game and finished 46th among NCAA Division I players with 95 three-pointers. He also finished third among Big West shooters with a team leading 42.8 (95-for-228) percent three-point mark.
McLaughlin, a 2023 transfer from Abilene Christian, utilized a medical redshirt season during his first year on campus before enjoying nine appearances this past campaign.
