
Cal Poly Volleyball Signs Three Incoming Recruits for 2025

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Three exciting recruits are set to become Mustangs after signing letters of intent for the 2025 class. Brooke Hansen, Charlotte Kelly, and Aveya Stone were announced last Wednesday as the next batch of incoming freshmen.



Brooke has shown to be a dedicated student athlete and natural leader. She is poised to guide her teammates with her competitive drive, strategic vision and commitment to excellence. Her impact on the court will not only add competition to the setter position but also elevate the standards of our program on and off the court.Assistant Coach Jason Borchin
Brooke Hansen / Setter / 6'0" / Rancho Cucamonga, CA / Etiwanda High School
An incredibly athletic setter, Brooke's leadership qualities are beyond her years. Her sets are as smooth as butter, and her competitive spirit will undoubtedly help us continue to compete for Big West Championships.
- Career Stats (as of Nov. 20): 1.7 kills per set / .316 hitting % / 1.9 digs per set / 5.8 assists per set
- Captain as a senior at Etiwanda High School
- Etiwanda is currently ranked #30 in California with 30-3 record
- Featured in vballrecruiter.com's National Player Rankings from 2022
- 2021 All-CIF Southern Section Division 3 honoree as freshman

Charlotte Kelly / Middle Blocker / 6'3" / Pleasanton, CA / Amador Valley High School
Charlotte is a force to be reckoned with in the middle. She's terminal both in front of the setter and off one foot, and her lateral speed and athleticism allow her to be a dynamic middle blocker.
- Four-year varsity player at Amador Valley High School
- Has excelled at both middle blocker and opposite
- Hit 3.7 kills per set as a sophomore
- Helped high school to 21-11 record this Fall
Charlotte is a dynamic middle blocker who can hit a variety of attack types in front or behind the setter. Her positive attitude and drive for success on and off the court make her a great fit here at Cal Poly.Assistant Coach Jason Borchin
Aveya Stone / Outside Hitter / 6'0" / Moraga, CA / Campolindo High School
A high-flying pin attacker with incredible versatility, Aveya shines as a dynamic player capable of dominating both outside and opposite positions.
- Helped high school team to 2024 CIF State Girls Volleyball Championships Division I appearance
- Tallied 12 kills in the North section finals against Redwood
- Dual-hitter from outside and opposite side
- Played club volleyball for Absolute alongside current Mustang Jaden Hendrickson
Aveya is extremely competitive and brings a fiery intensity to everything she does. Her drive and passion for success not only fuel her individual performance but also inspire her teammates. We are excited to see what she can bring to our program.Assistant Coach Jason Borchin
