Cal Poly Women’s Basketball Signs Three Players to Class of 2025

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — Cal Poly women's basketball and the athletic department announced Wednesday that the program has signed three players to its 2025 recruiting class.
All three are high school recruits, two from California and one from Texas. The three signees are Katie Peiffer (Georgetown, TX), Ella Skrzyniarz (Folsom, CA), and Dulci Vail (Lafayette, CA).

Katie Peiffer (Georgetown TX)
Round Rock HS
5'11" G
Peiffer is a 5-11 shooting guard from just outside Austin, Texas. She is ranked as one of the top guards in the state of Texas in the class of 2025.
A 2024 McDonalds All-American nominee, Peiffer was District MVP and First Team All-District as a junior while playing for Round Rock High School. As a sophomore, she was named District Offensive Player of the Year. She played AAU with Phoenix Select
Off the court, Peiffer has been a member of the National Honors Society since seventh grade and played soccer and softball at Round Rock High School.
Ella Skrzyniarz (Folsom, CA)
Vista Del Lago HS
5'10" G
Skrzyniarz has played varsity since her freshman year at Vista Del Lago High School in Folsom. Through her first three years, she has totaled 1,708 points, 268 rebounds, 92 steals and 76 assists. She has career averaged of 18.4 points per game, 46 percent field goal shooting, 7.0 rebounds per game and 3.2 steals per game.
She has been a three time First Team All-League honoree and was her league's leading scorer each of the last two seasons. She is already Vista Del Lago's all-time leading scorer, holds the school's single game scoring record with 39 points, and holds the school record for most points in a season.
She was the 2024 Sacramento Bee Metro Player of the Year, 2024 Section Championship MVP and helped lead Vista Del Lago to a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Championship in 2024. She played AAU for Bay City Basketball and has been teammates with fellow signee Dulci Vail.
Off the court, Skrzyniarz has been a Scholar-Athlete each of her first three years of high school. She also played flag football at Vista Del Lago High School.
Dulci Vail (Lafayette, CA)
Acalanes High School
6'0" G
Vail has played varsity at Acalanes High School in Lafayette since her freshman year. She was named All-League Honorable Mention as a freshman and First Team All-League her sophomore and junior years.
As a junior, she averaged 16.7 points per game, 7.4 rebounds per game, and 3.1 steals per game. She has helped Acalanes win a league championship each year she's been there. She played AAU for Bay City Basketball and has been teammates with fellow signee Ella Skrzyniarz.
Outside of basketball, she has competed in track and field at Acalanes, competing in the high jump.
