SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Former Cal Poly shortstop Brooks Lee has homered twice in the Cedar Rapids Kernals' series at Dayton this past weekend, giving him four in 20 games with the Hi-A Midwest League club.
Lee, the eighth pick of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft in July by the Minnesota Twins, currently sports a .296 batting average with two doubles and 10 RBIs, producing seven multiple-hit games.
Ex-Mustang catcher Nick Meyer has returned to Triple-A Syracuse and hit a two-run home run Saturday against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Meyer went 11-for-35 (.314) during a nine-game stretch from July 14 through August 3 at Binghamton.
Right-handed pitcher Taylor Dollard earned his 15th win for the Arkansas Travelers on Saturday, tossing five scoreless innings with six strikeouts against Midlands. Dollard is 15-2 with a 1.95 ERA this season, leading the Texas League in wins and seventh in strikeouts.

Erich Uelmen sported a 2-1 record and 2.25 ERA in his first 13 appearances on the mound for the Chicago Cubs before giving up three earned runs in back-to-back stints against Toronto on August 29 and 31. His ERA has jumped to 4.82.
Pitcher Spencer Howard remains on the Texas Rangers' 15-day disabled list with impingement in his right shoulder. The Templeton High School graduate and 2014 San Luis Obispo County Player of the Year is eligible to be activated and is on a throwing program in an effort to return.
Mustangs in Triple-A include Meyer, outfielder Nick Torres (Laguna) and pitcher Joey Wagman (Reynosa) in the Mexican League and pitcher Justin Bruihl (Oklahoma City). Those in Double-A include McKenna (Corpus Christi), Dollard (Arkansas) and outfielder Bradlee Beesley (Tennessee), currently on the 60-day disabled list.
