Ackerman, Bhunu Receive No. 90 Doubles Ranking In Latest ITA Rankings

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – After finishing the 2021 season with an undefeated record together in doubles, Cal Poly women's tennis sophomores Kim Bhunu and Emily Ackerman have been ranked No. 90 in the country in doubles by the ITA.
This is the first time this season a Cal Poly women's tennis player has been ranked by the ITA this season.
Playing at the No. 1 spot in the lineup, Bhunu and Ackerman finished the season with a 9-0 record as the Mustangs reached the championship match of the Big West Tournament.
Wednesday, Bhunu and Ackerman received First Team All-Conference honors in doubles.
Bhunu also received Second Team All-Conference honors in singles while Ackerman garnered Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in singles.
