
Cal Poly Women’s Tennis Ranked No. 62 in Final ITA Poll

2020-21 FINAL ITA TEAM RANKINGS
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After having its best season in a decade, the Cal Poly women's tennis team finished the 2020-21 season ranked No. 62 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in its final Division I Team Rankings.
The is the first time since 2011 that the Mustangs have been included in the final national team rankings.
Cal Poly finished the 2021 season with a 14-3 overall record, the program's most wins since 2011. They finished third place in the Big West during the regular season after going 6-2, its highest finish since 2011. They also made it to the championship match of the Big West Tournament for the first time since 2007.
The Mustangs also had five players who earned Big West All-Conference honors. In singles, redshirt freshman Dominique Stone was named First Team All-Big West, redshirt freshman Melissa LaMette and redshirt sophomore Kim Bhunu were both named Second Team All-Big West, and redshirt sophomore Emily Ackerman was named Honorable Mention All-Big West.
In doubles, the tandem of Ackerman and Bhunu earned First Team All-Conference honors while the duo of LaMette and redshirt freshman Delanie Dunkle were named Second Team All-Conference.
