STANFORD, Calif. -- Luke Adam remains in the top 50 entering the final round of The Goodwin men's golf tournament hosted by Stanford on the Stanford Golf Course.
Adam followed his even-par round of 70 Thursday with a 74 Friday and is tied for 41st place with one more round to be played Saturday morning on the 6,727-yard, par-70 course. Adam carded two birdies and six bogeys in his second round.
Tanner Podres recorded a 76 Friday and is in 108th place with a 151 total while Austin Liu and Will Draper both shot 79s. Liu is in 131st place at 155 while Draper is in 138th place with a 158 total.
Cal Poly compiled a four-person 308 total and sits in a tie for 26th place with Pacific, both with even 600 aggregates with one more round to play.
First-round leader Blake Hathcoat of Saint Mary's followed his first-round 63 with a 69 Friday and, with his 132 total, is one stroke ahead of second-place Noah Goodwin of SMU and Sam Harned of Nevada. Matt McCarty of Santa Clara is fourth at 134.
Entering the final round with the team lead is Arizona State with a nine-under-par 551 total, five shots ahead of Stanford. Saint Mary's, Washington and Pepperdine share third place, another 11 strokes back. The Sun Devils were three shots behind Stanford when play started Friday.
Adam is tied for third place in par-3 scoring at one under par while his 26 pars over two rounds is tied for No. 4.
