
Cal Poly Announces First Four Weeks of 2021 Baseball Schedule

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — The first four weeks of the 2021 Cal Poly baseball schedule have been announced by head coach Larry Lee and director of athletics Don Oberhelman.
The Mustangs will open the new season with a four-game series against Nevada on the weekend of Feb. 19-22. Game times are 6 p.m. for the first two games, 1 p.m. for the third game and 3 p.m. for the finale.
Following a three-game series at USC the weekend of Feb. 26-28, Cal Poly will host Utah Valley and UCLA on back-to-back weekends.
The Wolverines make their first visit to Baggett Stadium on March 5-7 while UCLA pays a visit to San Luis Obispo on March 12-14. Both series will feature 6 p.m. games both Friday and Saturday followed by 1 o'clock contests on Sunday.
Cal Poly's 40-game Big West Conference schedule will be released once final decisions are made by conference officials in the coming weeks.
Among the changes already made are four-game conference series with doubleheaders set for Saturdays. The teams are slated to play nine-inning games for each contest and all conference games will include the use of a 10-run rule after seven innings.
Cal Poly's 2020 schedule was halted after four weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to current COVID-19 protocols in place by San Luis Obispo County Public Health and Cal Poly, fans will not be permitted at any athletic events at this time.
