Mechanics Bank Student-Athlete of the Week: Hannah Scanlan

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — After recording a double-double last week against California Baptist, senior women's basketball forward Hannah Scanlan is the Mechanics Bank Cal Poly Student-Athlete of the Week.
Scanlan finished with season-highs of 19 points and 12 rebounds during a 66-64 overtime loss to the Lancers for her first double-double of the season.
She was 9-18 from the field while also adding an assist and a steal while playing a season-high 29 minutes.
She has scored double digits in each of the last two games after scoring 15 points against Cal. She is now third on the team in scoring with 8.5 points per game and second in rebounds with 5.0 per game.
The Mustangs open Big West Conference play this week on the road at Long Beach State Thursday and Cal State Fullerton Saturday.
