COMPLETE WEEKLY RELEASE
SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Cal Poly men's basketball program concludes its season-opening, three-game home stand when hosting North Dakota State on Friday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. and Sacramento State on Monday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. inside Mott Athletics Center. Cal Poly (1-0), which embarks upon a nine-game road trip following Monday's matchup, opened the regular season with an 86-53 home victory against NAIA Westcliff (Nov. 9). Both of Cal Poly's upcoming matchups were scheduled for last season, but each delayed a year by the COVID pandemic. Last year's Summit League Tournament runner-up, North Dakota State (1-0) opened its season by doubling up Division III Concordia-Moorhead, 88-44 (Nov. 9). Friday's game at Cal Poly opens a three-game road trip for the Bison that continues versus UNLV (Nov. 15) and concludes against Arizona (Nov. 16). Sacramento State (1-0), which includes former Mustang assistant coach Sam Kirby (2011-18) among its sideline staff, opened the regular season with an 89-59 home victory against NAIA William Jessup (Nov. 9). The Hornets visit Utah (Nov. 13) before facing Cal Poly.
