Cal Poly Wrestling Wins One of Three Matches in Mustang Duals

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Freshman 133-pounder Devon Lotito swept his three matches as the Cal Poly wrestling team won one of three matches in the Mustang Duals on Sunday in Mott Gym.
Coach Brendan Buckley's Mustangs defeated San Francisco State 27-15 while falling to Columbia 28-13 and Wyoming 34-6.
Wyoming went 3-0 in the day-long event with wins over CSU Bakersfield 20-12, San Francisco State 22-17 and Cal Poly 34-6.
Columbia was 2-1. In addition to its win over Cal Poly, the Lions defeated San Francisco State 28-8 and fell to CSU Bakersfield 22-12.
Lotito (pictured at right) earned a 10-1 major decision against Columbia's Joe Moita, a 10-4 decision over Zach Zehner of Wyoming and a 15-12 decision over Isaiah Hurtado of San Francisco State, improving to 21-6 on the year.
Mustang 125-pounder Britain Longmire went 2-1 in the dual meets, earning a 9-4 decision over Penn Gottfried of Columbia and a 9-3 decision against Marc Collier of San Francisco State while falling 3-1 to Tyler Cox of Wyoming. Longmire is 3-3 for the season.
Sean Dougherty also earned a pair of wins for Cal Poly at 184 pounds, pinning Drew Rebling of Columbia in 5 minutes, 47 seconds and Calvin Nicholls of San Francisco State in 4:25. Dougherty is 16-8 on the year.
At 141 pounds, Mustang Brandan Rocha pinned Navaeed Bagheri of San Francisco State in 41 seconds.
Cal Poly wrestling, presented by Meathead Movers and 2-4 in dual meets this season, hosts CSU Bakersfield for a Pac-12 dual meet Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
