Laura Hollander Wins Pac 12 Preview; Men's Team Finishes Fourth

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – True freshman Laura Hollander backed up her record setting pace at the Lagoon Open in Santa Barbara when she finished first at the Pac 12 Preview in a time of 17:02 in Santa Clarita on Friday. The men's team was fourth led by Chris Frias in eighth place.
The women's team finished sixth with 117 points. The Mustangs finished behind Texas (56 points), UC Davis and Northern Arizona (73 points), UCLA (97 points) and Clemson (108). The Pac 12 Preview was held at the Robinson Ranch Golf Course and was hosted by UCLA.
Other Mustangs competing in the preview was Derek Thomas in 26th with a time of 25:35 and Kyle Lynch in 28th with a time of 25:41.
Northern Arizona won the meet with 23 points with host UCLA in second with 58. Arizona State (66 points) preceded the Mustangs (87 points) in the standings.
Northern Arizona was the individual winner with a time of 24:30 with teammate Futsum Zienasellassie second with the same time.
