Johnny Young

Johnny Young is a fourth-year mathematics major and statistics minor at Cal Poly and is serving his third season as a student manager for the Cal Poly baseball program.
Johnny assisted in the hiring process of the new managers for the last two seasons, and has taken a larger role in teaching and implementing the use of Trackman, traveling with the team for weekend series, and leading specific projects in the effort to gain an advantage over opposing teams.
Young is a graduate of Canyon High School in Anaheim, California. He played baseball through his senior year of high school as a pitcher and outfielder.
Johnny’s parents are Tom and Lisa Young and he has two brothers, Matt and Chris.
