Collin Wilson was hired as assitant coach for the Mustangs in June of 2026 and enters his first season with the program.
“Collin is a young go getter who has coached all around the country,” Rogers said. “He has an exceptional grasp of the recruiting landscape around the country and will fill a bit of a blind spot for us as he knows everyone on the east coast. He is a player-first coach and will fit in perfectly with Angela and I."
Wilson has coached at multiple schools around the country. Most recently, he served as head coach for Coastal Carolina the last three seasons where he won Sun Belt Coach of the Year in each of the last two seasons. He helped the Chanticleers reach the Sun Belt Tournament championship match each of the last two years.
In each of his three seasons as head coach at Coastal Carolina, he had a player win Sun Belt Freshman of the Year. He coached 20 players in those three years who earned All-Sun Belt honors.
Wilson was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as part of the first class of Thirty Under 30 Beach Award winners in 2021, an award created to honor up-and-coming beach coaching talent at all levels of the sport.
In 2023, Wilson served as head coach at Southeastern Louisiana. Before that, he was an assistant coach for Coastal Carolina. Wilson spent parts of 2020 working for both the University of Oregon and CSUN. He also has experience coaching at the club level.
A 2019 graduate of the University of South Carolina, Wilson earned his bachelor's degree in hospitality, retail and sport management. He also served as the team manager for the Gamecocks' beach volleyball program and coach at the Magnum Volleyball club.
A native of Portland, Ore., Wilson prepped at Jesuit High School where he played football and baseball.
