2021-22 -- Cross Country: Redshirted … did not compete in any meets in third season at Cal Poly. Track & Field: Did not compete in any meets.
2020-21 -- Cross Country: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Track and Field: Did not compete in any meets.
2019-20 -- Cross Country: Began the fall with an unattached (non-scored) Top 10 finish, as he came in seventh place overall at the Lagoon Open hosted by UC Santa Barbara on Aug. 31, running the 8k in 25:22.8 ... then competed with the full Mustang squad as a true freshman, making his scoring debut at the UC Riverside Invitational held on Sept. 14 ... tallied 55th overall at the Highlanders’ Ag. Ops. Course, via 25:21.7, helping Cal Poly secure the team victory with a score of 48 points. Track: Spring 2020 season was canceled; however, retains year of eligibility moving forward.
Prep -- Ran the mile in 4:13.18 while a senior at Jesuit High School in Portland, taking seventh at the Nike Twilight Relays ... his mile time ranked No. 4 throughout all of Oregon for the year ... won the 2019 OSAA 6A state championship for the 1,500 meters, via 3:57.02 ... also claimed the 6A-2 Metro League 3,000m title in 2019, with an effort of 8:37.78 ... his 800m PR — 1:55.13 — tallied second at the 2018 Metro Finals ... in the fall of 2018, came in third place at the OSAA 6A State Cross Country Championship, with a 5k effort of 15:40.0 at Lane College in Eugene ... also added a 49th-place showing at the 2018 Nike Northwest Regionals (in 16:13.4) for the Crusaders at Eagle Island State Park in Boise ... coached by Tom Rothenberger ... covered Tualatin Hills (Beaverton, Ore.) in 15:26.4 to score second at the 2018 Metro Championship ... also played basketball as a starting point guard; in 2019, helped lead his squad to a 25-6 overall record en route to a state championship ... scored 22 points in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs, after earning second-team all-league accolades on the court, along with a team Defensive Player of the Year award ... in addition, participated in the school’s Hiking Club and volunteered at a homeless shelter.
Personal -- Majoring in business ... parents are both Oregon alumni, while his sister ran for the cross country & track squads at Pepperdine from 2012-16 ... also visited UCLA and Boise State; chose Cal Poly because of the “rigorous academics, successful cross country and track teams, the beautiful location, and the team is a great fit” ... aspires to be competitive in business.
