2013-14 -- Track: Won his second consecutive Big West Conference title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, in a personal-best 8:55.97, on May 16 ... also at the conference finals, nearly won the 5,000, finishing in second at 14:36.53 (just 28 hundredths back of the conference Track Athlete of the Year, teammate Chris Frias) ... his banner season also included a 1,500 effort of 3:51.32 on March 15 during the dual meet at Fresno State.
Cross Country: Opened the year by finishing eighth at the Lagoon Open hosted by UC Santa Barbara, with a time of 25:39 ... was 16th at the Fresno State Invitational, at 20:32 ... closed the fall with a 34th-place finish at the Big West Championships, in 27:20 on the Fairbanks Memorial Course in San Luis Obispo.
2012-13 -- Track: Won the Big West title in the steeplechase at 9:01.33 ... also had a 1,500 time of 3:54.05 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.
Cross Country: Redshirted.
Prep -- As a senior at Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, finished fifth at the State Championships in the 1,600 ... his PRs included 4:12.91 in the 1,600 and 9:08.28 in the 3,200 ... was named the school's Athlete of the Year ... helped lead the squad to league titles all four years ... graduated with honors, and belonged to Class Council and Spirit Club ... high school mascot was also the Mustangs.
Personal -- Born on Oct. 18, 1993 in Canyon Lake ... son of Mark and Janet ... majors in business administration (with a concentration in marketing).
