2019-20 -- Cross Country: While redshirting his first fall on campus, ran unattached at a trio of meets ... finished in 18th place overall (as an individual) at the UC Riverside Invitational held on Sept. 14, running the 8k Ag. Ops. Course in 26:16.7 ... then added a 120th-place overall (freelancing) time of 26:54.8 at the Capital XC Challenge hosted in Sacramento at Arcade Creek Sept. 28. Track: Spring 2020 season was cancelled; however, retains year of eligibility moving forward.
Prep -- As a senior at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, took 37th at the 2018 CIF Division 1 State Cross Country Championship, with a 5k performance of 15:47.5 at Fresno’s Woodward Park ... also in 2018, clocked a 5k effort of 15:46.2 at the Masters University Invite hosted at Central Park in Santa Clarita ... added a 3-mile best of 15:08.2 at Riverside City XC Course, finishing 23rd at the 2018 Southern Section Finals ... his 1,600-meter PR — 4:18.0 — tallied 15th place at the 2019 Azusa Pacific Distance Meet of Champions ... also posted an 800m best of 1:58.18, good for fourth place at the South Bay Championships in 2019 ... coached by Jeff Atkinson and Robert Calderon ... clocked a 3,200m time of 10:04.20 to place eighth at 2018’s Palos Verdes Distance Day ... high school mascot was also the Mustangs ... was an honor roll student, in addition to participating in the Ping Pong Club and Philanthropic Runners Club.
Personal -- Majors in Industrial Technology and Packaging ... also visited UC San Diego and UC Santa Barbara; chose Cal Poly in part due to the great location and academic rigor ... career ambition is to find a job that “I am passionate about because it challenges and excites me (and also gives me enough time to train for The Western States 100).”
