2020-21 -- Cross Country: Season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. Track and Field: Competed in three meets, all in 1,500-meter run ... established new personal best of 3:58.30 for 16th place in Cal Poly Spring Break Challenge ... also placed fourth in Wildflower Invitational (4:00.21) and sixth in Cal Poly Four-Way Meet (3:59.62).
2019-20 -- Cross Country: As a redshirt frosh, ran at a trio of meets … opened his fall taking 24th place at UC Santa Barbara’s Lagoon Open on Aug. 31 (via 26:45.6 — as the Mustangs picked up a 28-29 Blue-Green Rivalry victory over the Gauchos), prior to earning 13th overall within the Open Division of the UC Riverside Invite on Sept. 14 (at 26:10.0 in another 8k) … wrapped up his season taking 135th at the Capital XC Challenge hosted in Sacramento at Arcade Creek Course, in 25:41.0 on Sept. 28. Track: Spring 2020 season was cancelled; however, retains year of eligibility moving forward ... meanwhile, again earned Conference Commissioner’s Honors academically.
2018-19 -- Cross Country: While redshirting his first fall on campus, competed at two meets (on an unattached-scoring basis) ... took 20th place at the Lagoon Open on Sept. 15, in 25 minutes, 58.3 seconds ... added a 27:12.4 at the Stanford Invitational Sept. 29, good for 126th overall ... academically, also earned Big West Conference Commissioner’s Honors. Track: Redshirted.
Prep -- As a senior at Mission Viejo High School, came in second place in the 800 meters at the 2018 CIF Southern Section Masters Meet, with a PR of 1:52.89 ... went on to take 11th place at the 2018 CIF State Championships, in 1:53.55 ... also had an anchoring 800m split of 1:51.5 at the 2018 Arcadia Invitational, as MVHS won with a performance of 3:27.64 ... his top 1,600m time — 4:13.34 — earned fifth place at the section’s Division 2 Finals after winning the South Coast League title in 4:17.67 ... came in fifth place at the 2017 Clovis Cross Country Invitational via a performance of 15:41.0 ... also added a 5k of 15:20.9 (16th) at the Orange County Championships in 2017 for the Diablos (coached by Robert Belo) ... won the Mark Gleason Award ... in addition to being an AP Scholar-Athlete, participated in Outdoor Club ... also trained with the GrassRoots Athletics Club of Rancho Santa Margarita.
Personal -- Also visited San Jose State and UC San Diego; chose Cal Poly “not only because of its unique approach to learning but also its elevated level of competition and amazing coaching staff” ... majors in Computer Science.
