After a season in the bullpen as a middle reliever, could be the Friday night starter as a senior this spring.
2017 -- Made 28 appearances on the mound as a junior, including three starts against CSU Bakersfield on March 7 and in final two weekend series of season at UC Santa Barbara (a 9-2 victory) and at home against UC Riverside (a 4-0 loss) ... in those two late starts, allowed one earned run over 13 innings with 13 strikeouts ... for the year posted 1-1 record and 2.30 ERA with no saves ... 42 strikeouts and just eight walks over 43 innings ... opponents hit just .217 ... left-handers hit just .164 ... just 16.2 percent of the leadoff hitters reached base against Shelton ... earned team's Jason Maas Captain's Award and was named to Big West Conference Spring All-Academic Team ... did not play summer ball.
2016 -- Redshirt ... played summer ball for Matsu Miners in Alaska Baseball League, compiling 2-0 record and 3.50 ERA with 29 strikeouts over 36 innings.
Oregon State -- Compiled 0-0 record and 6.75 ERA as a sophomore in 2015 ... appeared in five games, all in relief, and pitched 2 2/3 innings ... as a freshman in 2014, pitched in 16 games, all in relief, and was 0-0 with a 4.72 ERA in 13 1/3 innings ... saved two games ... appeared in nine games in relief in Pac-12 play, going 0-0 with a 12.27 ERA in 3 2/3 innings ... earned his second save with two shutout innings against Ohio State on March 11, allowing one hit and one walk with one strikeout ... picked up his first career save with a four-inning outing against Portland on March 4, striking out three, walking one and allowing one hit ... tossed a scoreless ninth against Nebraska on Feb. 21.
