Expected to be one of Cal Poly's top relievers, possibly the closer, as a junior.
2018 -- Posted 1-3 win-loss record and 5.13 ERA as a redshirt sophomore with 18 strikeouts over 33 1/3 innings ... 14 appearances on the mound, including six starts, four on the weekend and two in midweek games ... earned win against Dartmouth on March 23, allowing one earned run and five hits over 5 2/3 innings with one walk and season-high four strikeouts ... also pitched five scoreless innings in a no-decision against Pacific on March 4 ... gave up just one earned run over 4 1/3 innings against Santa Clara on May 1, but suffered loss in 4-3 contest ... played summer ball for San Luis Obispo Blues, compiling 1-1 record and 4.96 ERA with 12 strikeouts over 16 1/3 innings.
2017 -- Redshirt ... underwent Tommy John surgery on left elbow in December 2016 and was sidelined for entire 2017 season ... did not play summer ball.
2016 -- Pitched in 13 games, all in relief, as a true freshman ... 2-1 record and 7.94 ERA with victories over San Francisco and Fresno State ... pitched four scoreless innings for win against Fresno State, scattering five hits and striking out season-high four ... played summer ball for Yakima Valley Pippins in West Coast League, posting 0-1 record and 5.14 ERA with five strikeouts in seven innings.
High School — Posted a 7-0 record and 0.58 ERA with one save as a senior under head coach Dave Perotti at Livermore High School … pitched four complete games and struck out 70 batters in 60 1/3 innings … struck out 11 against Marin Catholic in playoffs and 10 more against Dougherty Valley … Cowboys were 17-11 in 2015, finishing tied for third in the East Bay Athletic League and placing second in CIF-North Coast Section Division 2 playoffs … earned second-team All-East Bay Athletic League honors and holds school records for best ERA and win percentage … as a junior compiled 5-2 win-loss record and 2.13 ERA, striking out 51 batters in 52 innings … earned second-team all-East Bay Athletic League honors, was voted most inspirational player on his team and also earned the team's Academic Athlete Award … selected for participation in the 2014 USA Baseball National Team Identification Series … played soccer as a freshman … other schools that recruited Triantos were UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside … chose Cal Poly because "I visited Cal Poly in July 2013 and fell in love with the campus; the baseball team is ranked very high nationally and I also chose Cal Poly because of the great reputation of the coaches." … made school’s Honor Roll … played summer ball for Menlo Legends, posting an 0-1 mark and 5.00 ERA with eight strikeouts over nine innings.
