2025 — Underwent surgery on his other knee during the offseason, but should be ready in February for his sophomore season at Cal Poly.
2024 — After missing first 10 weekends of his freshman season due to a knee injury, Thomas ended his plan to redshirt and was used as a pinch-hitter and designated hitter in the late innings of the series opener against UC Davis on April 26 … started the next 16 games as the Mustangs’ designated hitter before sitting out the final two games of the season against Long Beach State … began his Mustang career on a hot streak, going 11-for-31 (.355) with 12 RBIs in his first eight games … one double and four home runs during a seven-game hitting streak (snapped by Utah Tech on May 10) … went 3-for-5 (all singles) with four RBIs against UC Irvine on May 3 … three multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI contests … did not play summer ball.
High School — Thomas earned first-team All-Valley Oak League honors, 2023 Modesto Bee Player of the Year accolades and a spot on the MaxPreps CIF-All-Sac-Joaquin Section Team after posting a .495 batting average as a first baseman and outfielder at Central Catholic High School in Modesto … 11 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs and 37 RBIs in senior season (2023) … stole seven of seven bases … led the state in home runs and was in the top five in slugging percentage and RBIs… led Raiders to 24-8-1 record, first-place league finish and CIF-NorCal Division III championship … a .447 hitter as a junior, Thomas hit 10 doubles, three triples and four home runs, stole 22 of 25 bases, earned first-team All-Valley Oak League honors and was named to the 2022 All-209 Team .. also was team MVP and offensive player of the year in the Valley Oak League … Raiders were 22-10-1 in 2022, won the Valley Oak League title and lost a best-of-three series versus Vanden in the CIF-Sac-Joaquin Section Division III championship series … as a sophomore in 2021, Thomas hit .319 with 15 hits, including one double, two triples, a pair of home runs and 15 RBIs in 19 games with seven stolen bases … played six varsity games as a freshman in 2020, hitting .222 with a double before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the season … Thomas played on the Alpha Power 2023 travel team as well as in the 2022 Area Code Games … “I chose Cal Poly because I have always wanted to go to school there to play baseball and pursue an agriculture degree.”
