Johnny (JT) Young is a second-year mathematics major at Cal Poly, and this is his first year serving as a student manager for the Cal Poly baseball team. He is also receiving a minor in statistics to help him find a profession in professional baseball analytics after his schooling is complete.
Young is a graduate of Canyon High School in Anaheim, Calif. He played baseball for much of his life, beginning in tee-ball and ending with his senior year of high school. He was primarily an outfielder, but also pitched for much of his baseball career. Johnny is now very excited to be joining the numbers side of the game to assist Cal Poly in playing a great season.
Johnny's parents are Tom and Lisa Young, and he has two older brothers, Matt and Chris.
