Ben Hamik is a fourth-year Political Science major from Denver, Colorado, concentrating in Pre-Law and minoring in Entrepreneurship. He is also pursuing a Master of Public Policy. This is his fourth year with the Cal Poly Baseball team as a Student Manager, his second year as Head Field Student Manager. Hamik's roles include assisting the team with game-day operations, equipment, laundry, personel, field maintence, and mentoring other Student Managers. He works closely with the Director of Operations and Coaches to ensure team operations run efficiently.
Ben played Baseball for 10 years, graduating from Denver East High School in 2020 where he played third base, first base, and right field. He helped manage his high school team through a mid-season coaching change and mentored players at the JV and Freshman level. At Cal Poly, Hamik is invovled in several on-campus organziations including Associated Students Inc. and the Interfraternity Council. After college, Ben aspires to work in International Business and U.S. Politics, but plans to enjoy every moment in the Central Coast supporting the Mustangs!
Ben is an only child and lives with his mom, Amy.
