Benjamin (Ben) Hamik is a second-year Political Science major from Denver, Colo., concentrating in Pre-Law and minoring in Global Politics and Entrepreneurship. This is his second year with the Cal Poly Baseball Team as a Student Manager.

Hamik has been around the sport since he could walk, starting on his first YMCA baseball team when he was only 4. In his childhood, he played six seasons for the Southeast Denver Eagles before eventually competing in high school. However, Ben's devotion for the sport goes far beyond just being a player.

As a 2020 graduate of Denver East High School, he played first base, third base and in the outfield for the baseball team along with stepping into the Varsity Manager/Interim Assistant Coach position after a mid-season coaching change. He also served as the Captain of the Tennis team and was head of three student organizations.

Hamik aspires to work in International Business and U.S. Politics, but plans to enjoy every moment in the Central Coast supporting the Mustangs!

Ben is an only child and lives with his mom, Amy.
