High School — A 2024 graduate of Templeton HS … Winkler was named Ocean League MVP after hitting .444 with five home runs and a school-record 39 RBIs and pitching five innings with no runs and one hit allowed as a senior in 2024 … Eagles were 20-7 in 2024, finishing second in Ocean League and lost to Lemoore 7-4 in first round of CIF-Central Section Division II playoffs … posted .214 batting average in 23 games as a junior (2023) and played in seven varsity games as a freshman in 2021 … also played basketball with averages of 3.0 points and 3.8 rebounds over two varsity seasons … played summer ball for Utah Marshalls Black Knights in Salt Lake City … made five relief appearances on the mound with four strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings … also had no decisions and a 10.50 ERA.
