Expected to start in left field as a senior this spring for the third straight year.
2017 -- Played in all 56 games with 49 starts, all but three in left field ... other three starts were in right field ... hit ..249 as a junior with nine doubles and one triple ... knocked in 24 runs and stole seven of 11 bases ... did not commit an error in 74 chances ... 16 multiple-hit games, including three-hit contests against Loyola Marymount, Fresno State and Hawai'i ... a trio of five-game hitting streaks ... hit .313 when leading off an inning and .322 with runners in scoring position ... 68.4 percent success scoring runner from third base with less than two outs ... did not play summer ball.
2016 -- A .306 hitter as a sophomore with seven doubles and a triple, knocking in 16 runs ... played in 46 games with 34 starts in left field, five in center, one in right and four as designated hitter ... primarily hit in the No. 2 hole in the lineup a year ago and should hit in the same spot this spring ... two errors in 73 chances in the outfield ... missed three weeks in late April and early May due to shoulder injury ... 15 multiple-hit games, including three-hit contests against Pacific, UCLA and San Jose State ... 5-for-12 in season-ending series against UC Davis and also went 5-for-12 in San Jose State and UC Santa Barbara series ... 8-for-17 with seven RBI in season-opening Pacific series ... doubled twice against San Jose State on April 1 and UC Davis on May 27 ... lone triple of year was against Pacific on Feb. 20 ... five multiple-RBI games ... produced six-game hitting streak from April 16-24 and ended season with five-game hitting streak ... hit .323 in Big West games and .351 in home contests as well as day games ... did not play summer ball.
2015: Played in 18 games with two starts (Grand Canyon and San Jose State) as a true freshman outfielder ... one start in left field and the other in right field ... went 5-for-18 at the plate for a .278 batting average with one double (CSUN) and one RBI (UC Santa Barbara with a pinch-hit single) ... no multi-hit games ... 3-for-10 as a pinch hitter ... played summer ball for Corvallis Knights in West Coast Collegiate League, hitting .278 with 30 hits in 34 games, including four doubles, a triple, one home run and six RBI ... stole five of seven bases.
High School – As a junior under head coach Billy Aviles at San Benito High School, George hit .402 with 10 doubles, a pair of triples, two home runs, 24 RBI and 10 steals ... his 13 multiple-hit games helped George earn first-team All-Monterey Bay Gabilan Division honors … Haybalers were 23-7 in 2013 with a second-place finish in the Gabilan Division and San Benito reached the semifinals of the CIF-Central Coast Section Division I playoffs before falling to Serra ... George was named team MVP, a team captain and the team's scholar-athlete ... did not play baseball as a senior as he recovered from hip surgery … hit .370 as a sophomore in 2012 with four doubles, nine RBI and 12 stolen bases en route to first-team All-Tri-County Athletic League accolades … also played football as a quarterback and defensive back … as a sophomore made 33 tackles, rushed for 292 yards and passed for 187 yards … a shoulder injury in the first game kept him off the field the rest of the year as a junior and he did not play football as a senior because of the hip injury.
