2012: Played in 21 games with six starts -- two at first base and six as designated hitter -- as a redshirt freshman … went 5-for-30 at the plate (.167) with three RBI … no extra-base hits … two singles against San Diego on March 2 … sacrifice fly against UC Davis on May 5 … played summer ball for Conejo Oaks and hit .256 (20-for-78) with five doubles, a home run and 12 RBI… went 6-for-14 (.429) at the plate over the final two weeks of the season.
2011: Redshirt … suffered concussion on first day of season-opening USC Tournament when he was hit in the head by a flying bat while standing in the dugout and was sidelined rest of season … played summer ball for Bend Elks and hit .266 with two doubles, one triple, one home run, nine RBIs, four steals … was 3-for-12 in West Coast Collegiate Baseball League series against Corvallis with a double and one run scored.
High School: A .407 hitter in senior season under head coach Matt Goldfield at Newbury Park High School ... 11 doubles, a triple, two home runs and 15 RBI with a .463 on-base percentage and .628 slugging percentage ... also compiled 4-3 record and one save as a pitcher with a 1.85 ERA, striking out 28 batters in 45 1/3 innings with four complete games and one shutout ... led Panthers to 19-10 overall record, third-place finish in Marmonte League and a berth in CIF-Southern Section playoffs ... earned first-team All-Marmonte League and All-CIF-Southern Section honors ... as a junior hit .424 with six doubles, 25 RBI and six stolen bases ... on the mound was 5-4 with three saves and 2.06 ERA, earning first-team All-Marmonte League honors ... led Panthers to 20-10 record ... recruited by UCLA, Stanford, UC Riverside, Oregon State, Arizona and California, choosing Cal Poly because "I heard great things about the baseball program and its coaches.
