2024 — Team co-leader with 28 appearances on the mound in first season at Cal Poly … 2-2 record and 3.73 ERA with 46 strikeouts over 50 2/3 innings … opponents hit .284 against the southpaw … notched pair of saves against Ohio State (3 1/3 scoreless innings, five strikeouts) on March 8 and UC Riverside three scoreless innings, three strikeouts) on April 6 … wins were against Cal State Bakersfield (1 1/3 scoreless innings) on April 15 and Utah Tech (four scoreless frames, four strikeouts) on May 11 … longest stint on mound was the four innings versus Utah Tech and he pitched in three or more innings on three other occasions … received a scare when he could not avoid contact with a line drive off the bat of UC Riverside’s Anthony Mata on April 7 but returned to action just five days later … did not play summer ball.

Sierra College — Torres made 15 starts as a sophomore at Sierra College in 2023, compiling a 2.37 ERA and 9-1 win-loss record … 74 strikeouts over 79 2/3 innings … opponents hit just .228 … one complete-game shutout, a 12-0 decision against Folsom Lake with 11 strikeouts and just two hits allowed … Sierra was 35-15 in 2023, finishing fourth in Big 8 Conference and advancing to the California Community College State Championships … earned first-team All-Big 8 and third-team All-American honors … as a freshman in 2022, posted 7-3 record and 3.27 ERA with 74 strikeouts over 77 innings and a .235 opponents’ batting average … first-team All-Big 8 Conference honoree … Sierra was 25-17 overall, fourth in the Big 8 and qualified for the NorCal Regionals, falling to San Joaquin Delta … a redshirt in 2021.
