2015: Granted a medical redshirt as he continued his recovery from a back injury ... has two years of eligibility remaining ... did not play summer ball.
Community College – After a redshirt year, played one season at Oxnard College, compiling a .286 batting average with seven doubles, three triples and five home runs … knocked in 25 runs and stole five of seven bases … was a first baseman and outfielder for the Condors.
University of Chicago – Played one season as a true freshman at the University of Chicago in 2012 and hit .444 in 10 games, including a pair of doubles … knocked in two runs.
High School – A 2011 graduate of University City High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was a four-year starter … best season was as a junior when he hit .427 with nine home runs and 42 RBI en route to All-Metro and All-Suburban South Conference honors … was valedictorian of his senior class in 2011 … chose to attend Cal Poly because “I liked Coach Lee and Coach Warrecker’s hitting philosophy and their overall approach to the game.”
