Cal Poly's starting right fielder in 2019, Green is being challenged by Scott Ogrin for the starting nod this spring.
2019 -- The only Mustang to play in and start all 56 games, Greene hit .274 with 61 hits, including five doubles and a pair of triples ... 55 starts in right field and one at first base ... drove in 17 runs and stole a pair of bases ... did not strike out in first nine games of Mustang career ... committed just two errors in 93 chances ... shared team lead with Cole Cabrera in outfield assists with five ... made diving catch against UC Santa Barbara ... team leader with 19 multiple-hit games, including three-hit contests versus Columbia on March 9 and Pepperdine on March 12 ... four multiple-RBI contests ... had a nine-game hitting streak from Feb. 16 through March 2, going 14-for 37 (.378) with a double and five RBIs ... triples were against UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara ... hit .324 in games won and .319 in day games ... played summer ball for California Cage Rats.
Community College (2018) -- Greene finished third among all California state community college hitters during the 2018 season at Mt. San Antonio College, hitting .428 overall, including a .453 average in South Coast Conference play ... also was first in the state in hits (89), second in total bases (139), third in at-bats (208) and fifth in both plate appearances (239) and runs scored (55) ... Greene's statistics included 16 doubles, five triples and eight home runs with 46 RBI in 49 games ... the left-handed hitter and thrower also was among the state leaders in toughest to strike out, doing so just once every 10.9 plate appearances ... in conference games only, he led the South Coast Conference's North Division in average (.453), on-base percentage (.509), hits (43), runs (28), home runs (four) and RBI (20) ... led Mt. SAC to a 35-14 overall record, which included a first-place finish in the South Coast Conference's North Division and a spot in the California Community College Final Four ... named to the 2018 Pacific Association Southern California All-Region First Team and American Baseball Coaches Association All-America Second Team and ABCA All-Region first team ... also earned state All-CCCAA first-team honors and was named Most Valuable Player in the South Coast Conference's North Division, earning a spot on the first team ... was recruited by UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Arizona, Seattle, Washington and Long Beach State, choosing to transfer to Cal Poly because of its "great baseball program" ... played summer ball for Yakima Valley in West Coast League, hitting .305 with 10 doubles and a triple over 45 games ... drove in 15 runs and stole three bases.
